The Bicentennial building, a new campus that contemplates the needs of physical facilities was constructed with resources from the National and Departmental governments and its own resources.
The Institution, with prior authorization from the Directive Council, with funds from the National government, the Department, and its own resources acquired a lot located on 7th Avenue # 2-52 to construct a building that would go in hand with the technology and necessities of formation offered through its academic programs.
This building was designed especially for the historical sector of Popayán, preserving on its façade the city’s urban character and it is totally adjusted to the different norms that regulate constructions in this sector of the city. It has a two-story façade and a basement on 7th avenue, three stories over the park, topped off at the corner with a big tower, which is a classic and reiterative element of the characteristic architecture of Popayán. Inside, it has four stories, with modern finishes, of great durability and especially designed to satisfy the formation needs of the students at Colegio Mayor del Cauca.
