Main Players in The Self-Assessment Process For Accreditation Purposes In Iunimayor

Professors

Principal axis of the quality of the programs, invited to reflect and be critical and perform an analysis of teaching, pedagogical resources, and administrative support, which are also part of the quality of education.

Students

Students are the leading subjects and beneficiaries of the program and University's formation process. They will account for, not only their satisfaction regarding the formation process but for their degree of commitment and participation.

Administrative and Directive Personnel

They are a priviledged source to obtain first-hand information on the organization and internal processes, besides working jointly with the academic part in accomplishing objectives proposed by the Institution.

Alumni

As representatives of IUNIMAYOR in society, the participation of the alumni in the self-assessment process permits receiving their contributions and reflections that integrate their formation experience in the Institution and what has been their experience in the labor setting, thus, permitting the validation of the formation process and generate contributions to the program from their professional experiences.

Productive Sector

They not only receive the graduates formed by the Institution, they also interact with the processes resulting from research and outreach of the academic programs and the Institution at large. They contribute to the pertinence of the programs and attest to the interaction and communication for social, scientific, and technological development in which each of the programs is committed.

Accreditation is the action through which the State adopts and makes public the recognition academic peers make of the verification an institution conducts on the quality of its academic programs, its organization and operation, and compliance of its social function.

However, it must be kept in mind that the accreditation is not merely an opportunity for recognition by the State of the quality of a program or an institution; it is an occassion to compare the formation imparted to that acknowledged as valid and desired by academic peers, that is, those who represent the duty for being, those who have the essential qualities of the community that is recognized as having that knowledge and which has acquired, therein, a social responsibility. It is also an occassion to recognize the dynamics of quality improvement and define goals of desired development. Participation of internationally recognized peers within the accreditation process could derive into international recognition of the quality of programs and institutions.  (Definition by the National Accreditation Council - CNA)
